A 7-year-old boy from Utah took a joy ride in his family car to avoid going to church.
Police officers received a report Sunday of a child driving recklessly. Officers then chased the 7-year-old boy as he drove past stop signs and through parking lots. The boy finally stopped at the house of a family friend and tried to run inside the home. He later admitted that he took the car so he wouldn’t have to attend church.
Fortunately, local sheriff Klint Anderson didn’t exactly treat the seven-year-old like Henry Louis Gates.
